BCDF is a not-for-profit business support social enterprise specialising in finance for growing businesses. Our core function is supporting small business owners throughout the UK to access the funding they need to achieve their vision.

Access to affordable funding and finance solutions is absolutely critical to the success of any business, however, obtaining it is often listed as the biggest challenge business owners face. Through our own loan fund or with the support of our lending partners, we provide finance solutions that help to remove this burden, allowing them to focus on what they do best, running their business. When working with us you are guaranteed professionalism and peace of mind.

A central pillar of our business is our Enterprise Support Programme. We deliver a full programme of start up training and support to first time business owners that runs throughout the year. We work with partners to cater to a variety of learning styles, providing onlines courses, interactive workshops and intensive one to one mentoring to founders in the region.

The ‘CD’ in our name stands for ‘Community Development’. As a not-for-profit social enterprise, we want to make careers in enterprise more accessible to communities that are excluded or underrepresented in business. We want to to help develop a strong and sustainable independent business community in Bristol that we can all be proud of.

Finance – We arrange financial solutions for small businesses, both directly and by introducing them to our portfolio of funding partners.

Learning – We help people to learn about enterprise and self employment, and launch their own business.
